Non-Toxic Baby Registry

I started my non-toxic journey in 2019 knowing that someday I hoped to have a little baby who I wanted to protect from harmful chemicals. It has been a long and continuous journey of navigating green-washed companies and deciphering which really make healthy products for people. Below is the list of products I put together during pregnancy, as well as products that I have found successful since the birth of our little boy (some aren't non-toxic, but work well).

We registered at Babylist and were able to add items from any website we wanted too!

Transportation: (We got our big items from Albee Baby and have hundreds of dollars of points that we can now use to buy other items - we just gave close friends our login information so we could get the points. We actually got our travel stroller completely covered after someone purchased our car seat and bases. What's also nice is that they do a complimentary FaceTime consultation on how to properly install your carseat which was so so so helpful for us)

-There are many options for Non-toxic Convertible carseats - I'd much rather you spend your money on a non-toxic convertible carseat than splurge on a non-toxic infant seat since you'll only use the infant seat for a max of 1 year whereas the convertible carseat will be used for up to 9 years.

-UPPAbaby Vista and Mesa Travel System (Jordan or Henry - Flame Retardant Free)

-UPPAbaby Mesa Infant Car Seat Extra Base (So worth it if you have multiple cars)

-UPPAbaby Snack Tray for Vista

-UPPAbaby Carry All was horrible, we love the Skip Hop Grab & Go Stroller Organizer

-UPPAbaby CozyGanoosh Emmett Green (We have a winter baby so we will get lots of use out of this, but I've heard that kids can grow out of it quickly) **UPADATE: my son still fits in ours at 18 months old

-Shynerk HD Night Vision Baby Car Video Display (**WE LOVE THIS and have since bought another one for our other car)

-Ergobaby Metro Plus Stroller - this is our travel stroller and I'm in love. It lays down completely flat, has a one had fold, it's the most padded stroller seat on the market (as it should be since it's designed by Ergobaby, which is all about ergonomics), full shade coverage, can be altered into a bassinet with no extra attachments, an extendable handlebar (one of the tallest on the market. My 6'6 husband loves it and it fits my 5'5 self perfectly). My only complaint would be the size of the basket, except their new version that was just released has an attached cup holder and a way bigger basket so WIN for Ergobaby!

-HomeLifairy Portable Mini Stroller Fan - Black

Baby Gear:

-Nuna Sena Aire Playard (Caviar) (Makes the most sense to invest in the full size option) (This is actually what we've been using since week 4 because William would stretch out his legs in his bassinet and hit the sides and it would scare him awake so we moved him in his pack 'n play where he has more room), we also have heard wonderful things about the Guava Lotus. If you plan to just use this for travel I'd purchase the Lotus over the Sena because of the weight and ease of use.

-Nuna Sena Mini Playard Organic Sheet

-Lovevery Play Gym - I think there are more non-toxic mat options out there, but we got ours on marketplace and have really loved it

-Lovevery The Sensory Strands (a must if you have this playgym)

Health & Safety: it

-Fridababy Quick Read Rectal Thermometer (Most accurate way to get an infant's temperature)

-Fridababy SmileFrida the ToothHugger

-Infants Mylicon (Keep this on hand for the first few weeks where baby is figuring out how to use their muscles in their anus. We liked this way more than gripe water)

-Little Martin's Drawer Baby Nail Trimmer File (This. Works. Wonders)

-LouLou Lollipop Colorblock Wood & Silicone Pacificer Clip

-Tubby Todd All Over Ointment (Work's incredible for cradle cap and infant acne - it's costly, but will last you years)

-Oogiebear Nose and Ear Gadget (Holy Grail Product)

-Tubby Todd All Over Ointment (Work's incredible for cradle cap and infant acne - it's costly, but will last you years)

-Fridababy Baby Nasal Aspirator and Snotsucker (**UPDATE I like the Oogiebear way more)

Nursery:

-Emily Organic Crib Mattress - My Green Mattress (It's expensive, but it's something your baby spends SO much time on so it's worth investing in a mattress that is GOTS certified and made of organic materials with no flame retardants)

-Nightlights (Any kind are good, but nice to have in bathroom and hallways so you don't have to turn on overhead lights at night)

-My Green Mattress Organic Cotton Crib Mattress Protector

-Pottery Barn Kendall Convertible Baby Crib (Non-toxic, Greenguard Certified) - we got ours used for $25 on marketplace, but another wonderful option is ikeas crib in birchwood.

-Mika Micky Co-Sleeper (We actually tried out 4 bassinets when we came home from the hospital, but I was unable to physically pick up an 8 lb baby after surgery so we ended up using a co-sleeper and it worked wonderfully)!

-Baby Monitor VAVA 720P Display Video Baby Monitor (LOVE THIS - we wanted one that didn't go through WIFI so that it can not be hacked into)

-Hatch Rest (We found ours on market place after William got here and figured out what he liked most)

-ThermoPro Digital Indoor Thermometer and Humidity Gauge

-As You Grow: A Modern Memory Book for Baby

-Any Organic Sheets (We bought one Solly Baby set and some from Burt's Bees - we love the Burt's Bees ones more) -

-Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Humidifier (this is the best humidifier. It's so easy to clean and you should never run into a mold problem as theres no real nooks and crannies)

Clothing (I purchased 90% of our clothes from Once Upon A Child and almost everything in his wardrobe is 100% cotton or organic cotton and I only paid less than $3.00 an item. Also, stick to two way zippered footed pajamas, my baby has lived in these even still at 3 months):

-Songmics Wooden Children's Hangers

-Honey-Can-Do Folding Drying Rack

-Goumi Organic Cotton Mitts in Drops Grey

-Woolino Sleep Sac - it's $99 but it can be used from 2 months to 24 months whereas most on the market have a lot shorter use span.

Diapers:

-Kinder by Nature Water Based Baby Wipes (These are our favorite - the pink version)

-Bumco Diaper Cream Applicator

-Munchkin Portable Diaper Caddy Organizer (Ended up buying two of these - one for the living room and one for our bedroom)

-7AM Enfant BK718 Diaper Bag and LOVE it. Padded straps are a must in my opinion and theres so much space inside.

-Earth Mama Organics Diaper Balm

-Organic Bamboo Breast Pads

-Silverette Silver Nursing Cups (I still need to order these, but luckily William has an awesome latch so we haven't had issues of cracking)

-The best gift I got was an in-home lactation consultation. It dramatically helped our breastfeeding journey and has made it an enjoyable experience)

-Earth Mama Organic Herbal Sitz Bath (I had a c-section so I didn't end up using this)

-Fridet The Momwasher - Upside Down Peri Bottle (Even with a C-Section you still have blood so this was extremely helpful)

-Tucks Cool Hemorrhoid Pads (Hemorrhoids...need I say more?)

-Towel (Night sweats are super real the first few weeks, just put a towel underneath you at night)

-Full Well Prenatal's (These have been my favorite, but I switch between these and Ritual.)
