Memorial Day Weekend...

Memorial Day Weekend is a weekend so many people look forward to and adore for lots of reasons. First off, I just want to personally thank every single one of our service men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect our Country. We greatly appreciate you and honor your service.

Secondly, I love this holiday because it feels like the start to Summer! We always have something on the grill, someone in the pool and lots of Red, White and Blue. I was fortunate enough to be able to go home this past weekend and spend some time at our lake home with family and I wanted to share a few of my Memorial Day Weekend Activities with y’all!

I got home and immediately wanted to hop on my bike and take a stroll through the town. I feel like every time I come home something new has gone up and I was excited to get out and about to see everything (it helps that I have the cutest bike on the block)!

I also love some good homemade sweet tea so my mom and I spent some time throwing a batch together before all of our guests arrived. My secret ingredient is a bit of baking soda and lots of lemons! Also, since Iowa has been getting so much rain our peonies needed to be cut so we got a nice little vase of flowers for our dining table!
